George has been an anti-government student movement organizer in Hungary in the 1960s


turned into a radical sociologist in Paris and a meditation adept in India in the 1970s,

turned into a virtual community pioneer and collective intelligence researcher in Berkeley in the 1980s,

 
turned into an organization design and transformation consultant, knowledge ecologist, and student of the Native American teachings in Santa Cruz (California) in the 1990s


turned into a researcher and consultant in communities of practice in Paris and Brussels in the 2000s


turned into a researcher of the planetary commons and AI for the common good, an architect of a co-creation network in the UK, the founder of Enlivening Edge, an online magazine and media hub, and Campus Co-Evolve, a virtual university for transformative education in the 2010s


integrating the essence of all phases in service of his eldership work and trailblazing research through mentoring and designing action research into wisdom-guided Collective Hybrid Intelligence (CHI) in Networks of Human and AI Agents, in the 2020s.

The golden thread in all those turns and twists of his life has been the expansion of consciousness and serving something larger than himself.

George served in academic research posts at: the California Institute for Integral Studies, Campus Co-Evolve, INSEAD, London School of Economics, UC Berkeley, Universiteit van Amsterdam, and Université de Paris.
